AppBenchmark - The Web Application Performance Standard
The AppBenchmark is a performance benchmark based on the average transaction times at five leading e-commerce sites, including Amazon, Wal Mart, Target, Sears and eBay. Webmetrics measures both html-only and full-page transaction times (for which download times are inclusive of all images/objects on a page for each transaction step). The five transactions are monitored every 5 minutes from our GlobalWatch Network and consist of 5-step user transactions on average. Benchmarks are updated weekly for the general public.
